The End of R.E.M.

Members of American alternative rock band R.E.M. Michael Stipe, Mike Mills, Peter Buck and Bill Berry (former member) announced breakup on their official website. Rock world is shocked by unexpected breakup on 21th September 2011. R.E.M. exists for 31 years together and released fifteen studio albums. Singles "Losing My Religion" and "Everybody Hurts" belongs to their biggest hits.

The band's final album "Collapse Into Now" was released in March 2011. The band is planning to release a compilation album called "Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage 1982-2011" in November 2011.

"To our Fans and Friends: As R.E.M., and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band.
