Example: Playing in the Shadows

British post-urban rapper Example (Elliot John Gleave) released his third album "Playing in the Shadows". Example's album "Playing in the Shadows" belongs to nowadays strong British street music including Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, Professor Green and Dizzee Rascal.

"Playing in the Shadows" contains just one collaboration and then collaborations with producers including Michael Wood, Nero, Chase & Status, Faithles, dupstep godfather Skream and Brookes Brothers. Songs from different producers stays cohesive by Example's voice.

Example's lyrics vary from rejecting a woman for her hard-partying ways ("Never Had a Day") to drug topic ("Under the Influence"). The electro hip-hop single "Changed the Way You Kiss Me" was released on 5th June 2011 and topped the UK Singles Chart as well as the electro house single "Stay Awake" released on 28th August 2011.
